GUHTS (Guts) hailing from New York, are often noted as being beyond any one genre’s classification. Sometimes being labeled as Post-Metal, Doomgaze or even Alternative Metal, GUHTS truly are what they eat, or at least what they listen to having cited influences from all aspects of heavy and non heavy music.
Since the bands inception during the pandemic in 2020, GUHTS self released an EP “Blood Feather” in 2021 and then a full length “Regeneration” in February of 2024 via NEW HEAVY SOUNDS (UK) and SEEING RED RECORDS (US). Both of these releases received much critical acclaim in notable media outlets such as Decibel, Metal Hammer, Distorted Sound, The Obelisk, Ghost Cult and Bandcamp.
GUHTS have also been building a name for themselves with their intense and emotional live shows. Having been on multiple tours, playing festivals such as Maryland Doom, Crucial Fest and Ohio Doomed and Stoned and sharing the stage with notable bands like Yob, Cave In, Mizmor, Marissa Nadler, The Otolith and Without Waves, GUHTS have been steadily growing there fan base all over the world.
