Trace Amount is the solo project of Brooklyn-based producer, drummer, vocalist, and visual artist, Brandon Gallagher. First conceived in 2019, Trace Amount took shape just before the early stages of the pandemic, but has already moulted various exoskeletons in its brief time of existence.

Coming from a metal drumming background, the goal of Trace Amount is to be abrasive and dense, pushing the boundaries of heavy music away from the traditional arrangements, while also crossing over into electronic and industrial realms without rehashing what has already been done. The project has put out a number of releases including the most recent EP – Simulation Fetish, mixed by Rhys Fulber (Front Line Assembly), and previously, the full-length Anti Body Language, released on Federal Prisoner, a label run by Greg Puciato (The Black Queen, The Dillinger Escape Plan) and visual artist Jesse Draxler who also contributed the cover design. Since its inception, the project has performed far and wide including tours in Australia, Japan, Europe, and U.K. alongside the likes of The Soft Moon, Greg Puciato, and King Yosef, and also stateside with artists like White Ring, Author & Punisher, Uniform, Choke Chain, and Primitive Man.
